"How to Talk about Planned Giving to Your Grandparents" presented by Steve Clark.
Planned giving can help donors discover opportunities they never realized were possible. But planned giving doesn't help if donors don't understand it. Or lose interest in it. This presentation will address these challenges by exploring how to talk to donors about planned giving in ways that are accessible and interesting to everyone - even our grandparents.
Steve Clark serves as the Assistant Vice President for Gift Planning at Virginia Tech, providing leadership to its gift planning effort and supporting its principal gift team. He has over 30 years of advancement experience, having previously served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for University Development at North Carolina State University as well as several gift planning positions at Virginia Tech. Before his career in advancement, Steve practiced law with firms in Richmond and Abingdon, Virginia, and earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Virginia. He is a former member of the national board of directors of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP) and is the current Chair of CGP's Leadership Institute.
This event is being held with AFP-DC.
