Confirming and Documenting Gift Intentions with Relational Fundraising

Facilitated by: Kara Barnes, CAP®, Senior Director of Planned Giving, American University

We will discuss research on donors who choose to include charities in their estate plans, tactics to engage these donors to ensure their gifts "stick" for their lifetime, and ways to persuasively and respectfully guide donors (and possibly their trusted advisors) to outline their gift intention with your organization's Legacy Gift Confirmation form or Memorandum of Understanding. You will leave this session with practical and strategic actions you can take to motivate, confirm, and document these meaningful gift intentions from your organization's donors
